It looks like they paid somebody who was blind to trim and apply those strips. It also looks like the same blind person did all the parallel parking.

The strips on the rear quarters are completely useless as the wheel arch sticks out further than the strip.

Is it for protection, or just an old guy that loves chrome? Not the wheel arch trim. Might have just caught it before he was totally finished - the door handles, b-pillar, door edge guards, and outside mirrors are all coming soon.
